Psychotherapist

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with thirty years of experience focusing on couple communication, male socialization, anxiety, life transitions and addictions. My experience also includes working with many demographics including children to older adults. In my sessions, I focus on using evidence-based techniques such as cognitive behavioral, mindfulness, interpersonal psycho-dynamic, narrative, play, and hypnosis to help clients improve. I often work with clients to address their desire to change by finding and taking positive actions. My counseling style is relaxed, supportive and interspersed with appropriate humor when looking at life. Many of my clients have said “they appreciate my support and straight forwardness.” I take the time to listen and understand. For me, it's an honor to do this work. In my spare time, I like to play tennis and go to garage sales. My favorite quote is “To love ones work and to work for those you love” by Tolstoy because it is achievable. Since graduating from the Barry University Master Social Work Program in 1989, I have been working in various fields of social work, dedicated to solutions and trauma focused therapy. I have vast experience working with childhood trauma, relationship issues, parenting and addictions. I am licensed in Florida, California and Kentucky and have obtained the highest level of Licensed Clinical Social Work in all three states with additional certifications in EMDR therapy and Hypnosis. For the past twelve years, I have had a private practice through teletherapy in Lancaster, California.
