My name is Ronnie Rizek. I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor located in Garner/Raleigh, North Carolina. I earned my Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University. I have been deeply involved in the field of counseling since 2013. I began as a crisis counselor on the national suicide hotline and veteran's crisis line before advancing to a position as an Intensive In-Home Qualified Professional. Now, I run my own private practice. I work with individuals and couples aged 13 and up. My primary areas of focus are couples counseling and supporting individuals dealing with depression, anxiety, trauma, bipolar disorder, and OCD. I embrace working with people from diverse backgrounds. I strive to motivate my clients to achieve their goals and help them become the best versions of themselves. What should a new client know about working with you?

My style of therapy consists of a healthy amount of feedback. I assist clients in identifying basic goals for themselves and continuing to build off those goals. I keep conversation engaging and ensure that my clients feel the utmost trust and comfort when working with me.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I begin my conducting a basic 15 minute consultation to familiarize myself with your goals for treatment. Once we determine that it is a good fit, I will place you on my schedule. When working with couples, I begin the first phase of treatment with psychoeducation regarding healthy dynamics of relationships, before eventually hanging the reigns off to clients to where they can address each other directly. With individuals, I also take a similar approach. Will will define your goals, and create a level of structure to pursue those goals. You will also have the flexibility and freedom to control the pace of sessions, where you may discuss whatever you want, when you feel comfortable discussing it.
