What should a new client know about working with you?

As a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, I believe that mental health is an important aspect of self-care to maintain stability in life. However, it's not always the easiest step to make, so congratulations on taking that step! I’ve been practicing for 13 years working with ages ranging from 5 years old to elderly population who are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, behavior concerns and grief.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy is unique for everyone, and I believe treatment needs to be tailored in an individualized approach to care. I will share bit about my background while also allowing you to share as much as you like about you and once you feel we are a good fit, we will work together as a team in your therapeutic journey. Communication is the key to a better understanding of your needs and so It’s important to me that we communicate openly and you feel respected in as we work together in the journey of healing. I’m here to support you, listen to you and also challenge you along the way. Making you feel warm and comfortable is a priority for me so I will always start with a brief introduction of myself and where you will also have the opportunity to share your story, goals and what you hope to achieve in therapy. We’ll work in a partnership to figure this out. My goal is to create a warm and welcoming space that allows you to feel comfortable and safe as we work together in sessions to work on your goals.
