Psychotherapist
HI
Hi there, I'm Rose! Hello! I am Rose Basilio (License#: LMHC-523). I earned my Master’s in Mental Health Counseling from St. Thomas University. My approach is primarily relational because I believe greater progress is made when the therapist-client rapport is strong. My approach I implement Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, as our thoughts strongly impact our emotions and behaviors. Our thoughts shape how we view ourselves, others, and situations. We all have unhelpful thought patterns sometimes. I work with you to identify and replace those thoughts with rational ones. Many clients find this helpful. However, some simply want a safe space to share; that is completely fine too. My focus Most of my clients are teens, 20s, and 30s. I work with clients facing a wide range of concerns, including depression, anxiety, self-esteem, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, and school challenges. My communication style My counseling style is empathetic and non-judgmental. I treat all clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I create a safe space and let clients take the lead in how much they share and what they want to work toward. If you want to explore your childhood because of its impact, we can start there. If you prefer to focus on the here and now, we can do that too. My journey to mental healthcare What attracted me to become a licensed therapist is my love for being a listening ear—not to tell others what is wrong or what they should do, but to walk with them through their sufferings and wins. Life can be challenging. We are human and sometimes need help. Many don’t feel comfortable expressing their innermost thoughts with people in their lives. Therapy is a safe place for that, and it’s rewarding to be the person they feel comfortable with.
