Psychotherapist

Feeling anxious, overwhelmed, stuck in the past, or simply not like yourself lately? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I work with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, relationship difficulties, low self-esteem, life transitions, substance use, and co-occurring mental health concerns. I’m an EMDR-trained therapist who believes therapy should feel supportive, personal, and useful—not clinical or one-size-fits-all. My approach combines evidence-based therapies including EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and solution-focused techniques to help you better understand what you’re experiencing while developing practical tools for change. Whether you’re trying to heal from trauma, manage anxiety or depression, navigate a difficult relationship or transition, or make changes in your relationship with substances, we’ll meet you where you are and move forward at a pace that feels right for you. Therapy is available in both English and Arabic.

What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t need to have everything figured out before starting therapy. You can come in feeling anxious, overwhelmed, unsure of what you need, or simply knowing that you don’t want to keep feeling the way you do. My style is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I want you to feel genuinely heard while also gaining practical tools you can use outside of our sessions. I work with anxiety, depression, trauma and PTSD, substance use and recovery, relationship challenges, self-esteem, and major life transitions. For clients working through trauma, I am EMDR-trained and take a trauma-informed approach that prioritizes safety and your individual pace. Most importantly, therapy with me is tailored to you—your experiences, your goals, and what you need to begin feeling better and moving forward.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first sessions are focused on getting to know you—not just your symptoms. We’ll talk about what brought you to therapy, what has been happening in your life, what you’ve already tried, and what you would like to change. Together, we’ll identify realistic goals and create an individualized approach to treatment. Depending on your needs, I may incorporate CBT, DBT, EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, grounding techniques, emotion regulation, distress tolerance, relapse-prevention strategies, and solution-focused therapy. Some clients need tools to manage anxiety or intense emotions. Others need a safe place to process trauma, improve relationships, rebuild self-esteem, navigate recovery, or understand patterns that keep repeating. We’ll continually adjust our work based on what is helping you and where you are in the process. My goal is for therapy to give you both a place where you feel understood and the skills, insight, and confidence to create meaningful change in your everyday life.
