Getting to know Rosemary Ramsey
Because life struggles may obstruct our path, it is helpful to acquire skills and tools to create a way to deal with moving on in a healthy way, talking with someone who can guide us with compassion and understanding.I have had 30 years working with anxiety, depression and PTSD/trauma.
I have extensive experience working with anxiety and depression utilizing CBT to provide the client with skills and tools for reframing thoughts with rational thoughts. Meeting the client in the here and now as well as talking about your emotions and how they are involved in your struggles with your life. I am also trained in EMDR for trauma and helping the client adapt to and process traumatic experiences.
My specialties are CBT and EMDR Trauma work. My training for EMDR was with Dr.Rick Levinson who trained with Dr.Florence Shapiro who was developer of EMDR. I have over 30 years experience as a psychotherapist. I have trained at the Beck Institute in Philadelphia, learning skills from Dr.Judith, daughter of Dr Aaron Beck and Dr.Beck himself.
