Feeling anxious, insecure, or inadequate? Does socializing feel overwhelming, yet you feel lonely? Are you newly single, dating, considering divorce, or struggling with relationship issues? Or maybe you’re just really hard on yourself! I may be the person to speak with. Whether the relationship is with yourself or others, my goal is to help you experience love and acceptance so you may finally have the peace, joy, and fulfillment you seek. Constantly replaying conversations, feeling left out, and negatively comparing yourself to others is draining—it's time to stop. I'll provide real tools, strategies, and coping skills—with a compassionate ear—to help you move from old ways of thinking, feeling, and doing to new, improved ones. I am Rosie Via, a licensed therapist and professional coach with a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Loyola University Maryland. I see clients remotely (therapy in PA & VA and coaching worldwide) and specialize in anxiety and relationship issues—though relational work often begins individually because it starts with the self. My typical client is an adult male or female who feels relationally disconnected or socially anxious, uncertain, or emotionally volatile. They see themselves as less important, lovable, or successful than peers. They feel lonely, left out, different, and discouraged—and don’t know why they feel empty inside despite being surrounded by people. My clients are single, riding the (dreadful) dating roller-coaster, struggling with dull or chaotic marriages, divorced, considering divorce, cheating, recovering from cheating, or adjusting to the loss of a loved one (or beloved pet!). They repeat the same mistakes in a quest for love, yet what they seek eludes them. “Why?” they ask. Clients often report replaying conversations over and over, second-guessing themselves and their choices. If this sounds familiar, I’m here to help.

What should a new client know about working with you?

For years, I allowed my thoughts to create icky feelings - mostly a lot of anxiety - then behaviors that ultimately didn't bring the love and joy into my life that I was craving. This only reinforced the message that I was unloveable, not good enough, and a loser! Ugh! What a way to live! Wait! Here's the good part! I learned that I have authority over my anxious thoughts, and I didn't have to run from them. I learned to cope with the anxious thoughts because they weren't in any hurry to go away! I can teach you to do the same.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
