Whether you're dealing with depression, anxiety, or navigating LGBTQIA+ issues, I'm here to support you every step of the way. I hold a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology, both from The University of Texas RGV. My journey in mental health began with an Associate of Arts in Social Work, during which I advocated for victims in court with the Crime Victims unit for Cameron County, TX. This experience ignited my passion for helping others and set the foundation for my career. Over the years, I've had the privilege of working with individuals facing a variety of challenges. From providing supportive referrals and psychoeducation to children and adults at local non-profits to offering group and individual therapy in a psychiatric hospital setting, my goal has always been to empower my clients. At the psychiatric hospital, I managed the outpatient program and the Partial Hospitalization Program (IOP/PHP) for both adults and adolescents, where I developed and implemented individualized treatment plans and goals. As a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Texas (License #80337) and a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor Intern (LCDC-I), I'm committed to continuous learning and growth. I'm scheduled to sit for my LCDC-I exam in 2024, furthering my ability to support clients dealing with addiction.
