Roy Hogan, LCSW - C

Psychotherapist
MD
Since beginning my private practice in 2012, I have gathered extensive experience both privately and in the public sector, enriching my understanding and skills in mental health care. I have vast experience working with a number of mental health issues and diagnoses. In my therapeutic approach, I value the importance of understanding an individual's core beliefs-shaped by family background, religious teachings, and societal influences-from early childhood. Recognizing that some of these beliefs may become maladaptive, I work with clients to reassess and reshape these beliefs to better serve their adult lives, thereby alleviating distress and enhancing personal and interpersonal functioning. My treatment modalities are eclectic, drawing from a range of methods including Strength-Based, Client-Centered, and Solution-Focused approaches, along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). This diverse toolkit allows me to tailor my approach to best meet the unique needs of each client. My educational journey in psychology began with a Bachelor of Science degree from Utah State University, where I also engaged in research on shame and guilt and taught introductory psychology labs. I furthered my education with a Master of Social Work from Eastern Washington University, conducting significant research on caregiving for terminally ill individuals and exploring the impacts of traumatic loss and grief.

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
