Getting to know Ruben Zurita

I am a first generation Latinx. My parents and family were all born in Mexico and immigrated to Chicago, where I was born and raised. I am bilingual and versed in multicultural experiences, having even once participated in a High School student exchange program and lived in Indonesia for a year with AFS. I went to undergraduate studies in University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana, and graduate studies in Colorado State University, and more recently have lived and practiced in New Mexico. I have primarily worked serving underserved populations in Chicago, Illinois, and Albuquerque, and have extensive experience serving multicultural clients, Spanish Speaking Clients, and LGBTQ clients. I am Queer identified, and am experienced serving neurodiverse clients (Autistic, ADHD).
