Getting to know Russell Levine

Hi, my name is Russell Levine. I'm a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) with a Master’s in Social Work from Simmons University, and I am accepting all clients. As a mental health counselor, I am here to support others in problem-solving how to function more comfortably in everyday life. I am happy to help grapple with environmental or situational factors and chronic health conditions and have experience doing so. I work with both children (4-17) and adults (18+) on social and family issues, mental health challenges, and coping with everyday stress. I offer CBT, DBT, trauma-informed therapy, solution-focused therapy, traditional counseling, or simply provide someone to vent to. Additionally, I am a certified Autism Spectrum Disorder specialist.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I'm here to listen. I can, with your permission, also give advice and collaboratively problem solve (create plans/solutions together). I have experience in and enjoy working with LGBTQ+ clients. I am trained and experienced in working with both simple and complex trauma. I work with people of various mental health challenges/diagnoses.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I'm client centered, so sessions can entail whatever has been on your mind lately that you'd like to discuss. I'm also goal oriented, so we will collaborate to determine goals over the first two sessions and then frequently check back on progress towards those goals.
