Psychotherapist
MA
Hi, I'm Russ. I have a client-centered approach, meaning I am looking to work on the challenges you see as most impactful in your current daily living. I am also goal oriented, so once exploring your current challenges I like to determine what small steps that can be taken towards those goals. If you're uncertain about what you want to work on and just feel that you could benefit from some support, I'm here to help. We can collaborate to identify what is difficult for you and what might help you move forward. If any part of my approach doesn't work for you at any time, or even before we start, please let me know your preferences, and I will adapt my approach to meet your needs. I specialize in managing anxiety and depression and am a certified Autism specialist. I work with both children and adults. In terms of what to expect: In the first session I will explain confidentiality, and let you know that sessions tend to be 1 hour long, usually meeting on a weekly or biweekly basis based upon level of need and scheduling availability. We will then discuss your current concerns/challenges, your strengths, your hobbies, your daily life, etc. The first session is a lot of information gathering. By the end of the first session and/or in following sessions, we will determine what goals to focus on and further explore your daily living at home/school/work, your familial and social relationships, etc. Thank you for your time, and I look forward to meeting with you!
