Welcome, I am glad you are taking this step to make a positive change in your life! My name is Ruth Araujo, and I am a bilingual English/Spanish Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas with twelve years of experience in the mental health field. I hold a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from the University of Texas, Rio Grande Valley.
In my years of experience, I have worked with people in different stages of the lifespan, ranging from adolescents to late adulthood. I have worked in settings such as the Juvenile Justice System, a Community-Based Agency, an Inpatient Psychiatric facility, and currently in a non-profit organization as a mental health provider. I have assisted people with depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, and a wide variety of mental health diagnoses.
What should a new client know about working with you?
During our first session, I will gather background information to understand your needs and discuss your goals. Every single person is unique and has different needs, therefore, we will work on tailoring a treatment plan specifically for you.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
