Psychotherapist
WA
Hi there, I'm Ruth! You and your needs are the number one concerns, and I will let you present them in a way that you feel comfortable and in control. I look at your personality and the dynamics in your life and how they affect you and your goals to change. I love to work with individuals, couples, families, or others you may want to include. Everyone has dignity and importance in the process of meeting needs and goals. Together, we will look at concepts, behaviors, and opinions to allow you to decide the changes that will benefit you and others in your life. My approach I was trained in the main therapeutic styles. Each person is different and will respond to different techniques or therapy styles. This can be primarily listening, as you sort out your thoughts and emotions, and or looking deeper at inherited personality traits such as ADHD, emotional turmoils from childhood or adult experiences, thoughts that perpetuate discomfort, and or habits and addictive routines, and more. My focus Focus is on your sense of dignity, emotional well-being, and what it might entail to change perceptions, emotions, thoughts, and behaviors that might better help you achieve your goals, talents, and dreams. With family therapy, we focus on how family dynamics may help all members be able to do this as a group with mutual support. My communication style I let you set the tone and communications as you tell your story, and I will try and help you add awareness, emotional dignity, healing thoughts, and possible behavioral changes you can be comfortable with. In family therapy, we look at the dynamics between each other and how tweaking that can give dignity and hope to each other. My journey to mental healthcare As a small child, I was very sick and close to dying with high fevers from measles for a long time, and was left with disabilities to overcome.
