Ryan Lee, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from Midwestern State University. With children, I often utilize play therapy to create a comfortable environment where they feel safe to fully express themselves. With teens and adults, I frequently use cognitive behavioral therapy to help you work through negative thought patterns and discover new, healthier ways of thinking. My approach to therapy is client-centered and individualized to help you reach your therapeutic goals. While I work with all populations, I specialize in supporting children, teens, and families. I have extensive experience working with individuals struggling with depression, anxiety, behavioral issues, and family or relationship dysfunction. I am also comfortable working with those dealing with self-harm or thoughts of harming others. I strive to provide a warm and welcoming environment for all my clients. I am the kind of therapist who allows you to take the lead while offering suggestions and ensuring we stay on track toward your goals. My first priority is to listen fully and make sure you feel heard. My journey to mental healthcare began when I spent time as a teacher’s aide in a high school counseling office. Witnessing the positive impact counselors had on students inspired me to pursue this path. Having provided therapeutic services for nearly five years, I am grateful to have positively impacted people’s lives and helped them reach their goals. During our first couple of sessions, we will work together to set realistic goals for your therapeutic journey. I believe setting goals early in therapy provides a clear light at the end of the tunnel to work toward. Our first session is a time for us to get to know each other and begin building a foundation for your healing.
