Psychotherapist

I personally know what it can feel like to feel disconnected from yourself, unsure of who you are becoming, or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Many of the clients I work with come to therapy carrying anxiety, trauma, shame, or identity concerns. They often know the deep exhaustion that comes from looking completely “fine” on the outside while feeling incredibly overwhelmed internally. My role as a therapist is not to “fix” you, but to walk alongside you as you reconnect with the strength, clarity, and wisdom that already exist inside of you. I truly believe that healing comes from within. Using an integrative, trauma-informed approach, I help clients feel more connected to themselves, more grounded in who they are, and more equipped to move forward with deep compassion and self-understanding. In addition to supporting individuals through life transitions and emotional overwhelm, I have a special interest in working with current and former athletes. Having a sport shape so much of who you are can make stepping away incredibly challenging. I provide a dedicated space for athletes navigating identity loss, performance pressure, transition, and life after sport. Outside of the therapy room, I find my own sense of ease and grounding by being outdoors—whether I'm hiking, kayaking, camping, or exploring how nature, movement, and creativity support self-discovery. I bring that same appreciation for natural pacing, quiet clarity, and genuine human connection into every session.

What should a new client know about working with you?

The most important thing to know is that you do not have to have everything figured out before beginning therapy. Starting this process can feel overwhelming, and it is completely normal if you don’t know exactly where to start or what you need. My primary goal is to offer a steady, compassionate, and entirely nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard, supported, and deeply understood. I bring a grounded presence to our sessions, ensuring that we take the next step together at a pace that feels safe and right for you. Whether you are working through complex trauma, day-to-day anxiety, burnout, or the exhausting weight of always needing to perform, you do not have to carry it alone. My background as a Licensed Master Social Worker includes extensive experience helping individuals and families navigate emotional overwhelm, major life stressors, and complex psychosocial needs. I view therapy as a collaborative partnership. I am here to hold a safe space for your story, honoring your unique timeline and lived experiences without pressure or expectation.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our work together is deeply collaborative, intuitive, and paced entirely by you. Because every individual’s story is unique, I use an integrative framework primarily informed by Internal Family Systems (IFS) and EMDR, alongside trauma-informed care, mindfulness, and a growing focus on body-based (somatic) awareness. Instead of just managing surface-level symptoms, we will work together to gently explore and make sense of the protective patterns, beliefs, and emotional responses that keep showing up in your life. Through an IFS-informed lens, we look at the different "parts" of you—especially the ones trying hard to protect you from pain—to understand their origins and help release the burdens they’ve been carrying. By incorporating mindfulness and somatic awareness, we also pay attention to how stress and trauma show up physically, helping you find a sense of ease in both mind and body. In our initial sessions, we will focus on building trust, exploring what brings you to therapy, and mapping out what healing looks like for you. From there, we move forward together, helping you untangle old patterns, process past experiences, and step into a more grounded, self-compassionate version of yourself.
