Getting to know Ryen Draper

I work with individuals, couples and families. My approach to therapy is mainly through the lens of Narrative Therapy, however I incorporate other evidence-based theories in my practice. Through this approach, it allows us to become aware of the stories we carry and how they influence the way we view ourselves and the world. While working with clients, I want to them to see themselves as the expert in their life, and view the therapist as the co-author throughout the process. We will work together to deconstruct these stories/narratives and create new meanings. Additionally, I have a certificate in Medical Family Therapy, which allows me to practice through a Bio-Psychosocial-Spiritual (BPSS) framework. Through this lens, I examine the biological, psychological, social, and spiritual factors that impact a person’s life. This allows me to provide whole-person care.
