My name is Sabina Wieczner, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker based in Sacramento, CA. I hold a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa College. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults on many issues, including loss, attachment, anxiety, depression, anger, impulsivity, and low self-esteem. I use mindfulness and CBT in my work. My approach I most commonly use Solution-Focused, Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Crisis Intervention, Client-Centered, Narrative Therapy, Attachment-Based approaches, and techniques from Functional Family Therapy and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. The majority of my experience has been with clients who have suffered multiple traumas, substance use disorders, grief/loss, depression, unhealthy interpersonal relationships, anxiety, and low self-esteem. My approach focuses on empowerment through skills, relationship building, and self-understanding to regulate emotions and gain a sense of inner strength. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for anyone suffering from anxiety, trauma, PTSD, or depression. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything and am committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and judgment-free zone where they can freely explore, experiment, and express themselves. My journey to mental healthcare I started by providing therapeutic behavioral services for children and adolescents while gaining my hours for licensure. I primarily worked with foster, adoptive, and juvenile youth. I transitioned to Functional Family Therapy and then to adoption-specific therapy, gaining experience in many therapeutic techniques along the way.
