Psychotherapist
AZ
Hi there, I'm Sally! Are you ready to be happy, content, and in love with yourself? I have a Counseling license from the state of Arizona and have been practicing therapy for over 35 years. I earned my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and my master's degree in Psychology from Antioch University. My approach to therapy is to provide a non-judgmental environment to support my clients in discovering their strengths. I walk shoulder to shoulder with them on their healing journey. When their goals are reached, they are happy, content, and full of self-love. My approach My approach to treatment is typically eclectic-I do not have a specific methodology because I feel clients are multifaceted and several modalities may be required. My key component is trust. After establishing trust in the therapeutic relationship, challenging beliefs and behaviors evolve organically. My focus My clients are typically male or female experiencing relationship struggles. I also work with individuals who are products of dysfunctional families, which impact them negatively as adults. In my practice, I work with individuals who are having difficulty with cultural conflicts. My communication style My philosophy for treating clients is just an extension of my life philosophy. I think that being self-aware is key to providing the best possible service to my clients. I am myself during sessions, and I don't try to put on a ?therapist hat.? I often recommend clients read books or articles that will enhance their knowledge and healing. My journey to mental healthcare I chose to become a therapist because we had a housekeeper with mental health issues, and I found her to be fascinating and loving. With proper medication and therapy, she was healed and so happy. What I love most about being a therapist is helping others find their key to happiness.
