I offer a grounded, compassionate space where you can feel understood, supported,and encouraged as you work towards real and sustainable changes. With over 35 years of experience in Mental health,and in Addictions Treatment, I specialize in supporting adults who are dually diagnosed with a Substance Use Disorder and a Mental health condition.. I also assist those who grew up in addicted or dysfunctional homes, or love someone who struggles with these challenges. I have assisted many people who have struggled with significant childhood trauma and are able to finally feel as though they have a voice. . I'm a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor as well as a Licensed Professional Counselor and I hold several advanced degrees in the counseling field. I also am a proponent of the 12 Step program, as I believe that the combination of working the 12 Steps in addition to therapy, often leads to the best results. In addition, I have worked in a wide variety of Mental Health settings including Intensive Outpatient Clinics, Addictions Treatment Centers, Family Court, as well as at a Women's Mental Health Center. I have also assisted victims of Domestic Abuse and Trauma. Some of my interests are traveling, especially to Maine and Michigan, relaxing with good friends over dinner, and curling up with a book and my cuddly cats or dog. .I consider myself to be a Spiritual person and enjoy a pleasant walk in the woods with my dog.
