Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Saly! My name is Saly Nasrat and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. I graduated from California State University, Fullerton with a master of science in counseling with an emphasis on marriage and family therapy. I would like to help you find greater balance and a higher quality of life through understanding, healing, and cognitive awareness. My approach My integrative approach may consist of cognitive behavioral therapy and client-centered therapy while always working from a humanistic foundation. My focus I work to empower individuals to overcome personal obstacles and improve their quality of life and functioning. I work with teens, adolescents, and adults dealing with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, dual diagnosis, trauma, self-harm, suicidal ideation, and grief. My communication style Most of the time, we do not realize how much control we actually have in our lives. We have more power than we think in hardships. I take a collaborative approach with you since, ultimately, you are the expert on yourself. I will meet you at your level and together we will have the perfect setting to find or restore a healthier, happier, more productive you! My journey to mental healthcare As a therapist, what attracts me most to this work is the profound opportunity to witness and facilitate positive transformation in people's lives, by providing a safe space for them to explore their challenges, and emotions, and ultimately, work towards healing and personal growth. The driving force behind my passion is the deep sense of fulfillment that comes from seeing clients gain insight, develop coping mechanisms, and achieve a greater sense of well-being through our therapeutic relationship. My goals for you When approaching goal setting with clients as a therapist, the key is to take a collaborative approach, actively listening to their desires while guiding them to formulate specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound (SMART) goals.
