Getting to know Sam Shabsin
I incorporate empathy, humor, authenticity, and respect into my work to build a warm, caring environment for my clients. I have clinical experience working with and treating anxiety, depression, the stress that comes from having ADHD, low self-esteem, body image issues, family challenges, relational issues, grief and loss, trauma, and life transitions of all kinds.
I utilize evidence-based practices including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Informed Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, Play Therapy, Sports Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Family Systems Therapy.
I am bilingual in both English and Spanish and have utilized both clinically. I became a therapist because I love to support people through tough times in a warm, kind, and supportive manner. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Indiana University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Kansas, Kansas City. I look forward to working with you.
