Hi there, I'm Samantha!
Hello! My name is Samantha Hines, and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor based outside Pittsburgh, PA. I hold a Master’s in Clinical Counseling from East Carolina University. I’m currently offering telehealth counseling services to clients within the state of Pennsylvania. I provide an inclusive approach to counseling that creates a safe and accepting environment where clients feel comfortable expressing themselves freely and authentically. I feel my ability to prioritize, make, and keep connections with my clients is one of the guiding principles in my practice.
My approach
My therapeutic approach is grounded in the belief that every person has the capacity for self-understanding and positive change. I have a person-centered approach to therapy that integrates a strength-based perspective. When working with clients, I aim to identify and harness their unique abilities, resources, and resilience, empowering them to overcome challenges, achieve their goals, and lead fulfilling lives. I utilize evidence-based principles from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, motivational interviewing, somatic therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and mindfulness in my practice. I believe every client benefits from interventions tailored to their needs.
My focus
I currently provide services to adults with mood disorders, depression, ADHD, anxiety, individuals coping with the residual effects of trauma, stress management, couples therapy, self-esteem issues, and work and life stress. My hope is to guide my clients toward positive change and self-discovery by providing them with a warm and welcoming environment to process and grow.
My communication style
My goal is to develop a meaningful connection with my clients, providing a supportive and nonjudgmental space for exploration and growth. I embrace a strength-based perspective that empowers individuals to use their inner strength and resilience to achieve their goals.
