Is your teen struggling with anxiety, stress, low mood, friendship challenges, or feeling disconnected for others? I work with teens, young adults, and their families to navigate the ups and downs of adolescence and emerging adulthood. Whether your teen is feeling overwhelmed, unsure of where they fit, or having difficulty managing emotions and relationships, therapy can provide a supportive space to build insight, coping skills, and confidence. I also offer parent coaching and support to help caregivers respond effectively and strengthen family relationships. My background is in supporting teens facing complex emotional, social, and behavioral challenges. I love helping teens build coping skills, create meaningful connections with others, and discover their strengths in who they are. My approach is warm, collaborative, LGBTQ+ affirming, and trauma-informed, using evidence based therapies such as DBT, CBT and ACT. Watching your teen struggle can leave you feeling worried, helpless, or unsure what to do next. Whether you're a parent seeking support for your child or someone looking for a space of your own, therapy can help you feel more understood, connected, and hopeful about what comes next. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Mallon Advisory & Counseling Services

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe therapy works best when it feels like a genuine collaboration. My goal is to create a space where clients feel safe to be themselves, explore difficult experiences without judgment, and move at a pace that feels comfortable. While I bring clinical knowledge and guidance, I also believe that clients are the experts on their own lives. I tend to balance insight and action in therapy. Together, we might explore patterns in relationships, identify obstacles that keep you feeling stuck, and practice new ways of responding to difficult emotions. I want clients to leave sessions not only feeling understood, but also with practical tools they can use in their daily lives.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first few sessions focus on getting to know you and understanding what has brought you to therapy. We’ll talk about your strengths, current challenges, relationships, and goals so that we can create a treatment plan that feels meaningful and personalized. When working with teens, I primarily meet individually with the adolescent while incorporating parent coaching sessions as needed. This allows teens to have their own supportive space while also helping caregivers learn ways to strengthen communication, respond effectively to challenges, and support progress at home.
