Psychotherapist

You might be the person that others usually rely on, but lately feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure how to care for yourself. I work with individuals and couples navigating caregiving, relationship stress, and life transitions. I support caregivers, teens and young adults, and couples raising preteens and teens in making sense of their emotions, improving communication, and building more balanced, connected relationships. I offer a warm, collaborative, and trauma-informed approach that blends interpersonal, ACT, and DBT-based work. Together, we may explore patterns that show up in your relationships, practice new ways of communicating, or work on staying grounded through difficult emotions rather than getting pulled away by them. It can be exhausting to keep holding everything together while feeling overwhelmed or alone. Therapy is a space where you don't have to carry it all by yourself. If you are ready for more support and a different way forward, I would be glad to work with you. The provider is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist and is currently working under the supervision of a licensed practitioner. Their current employer is Mallon Advisory & Counseling Services

What should a new client know about working with you?

I aim to create a space that feels warm, collaborative, and safe. Therapy can be a place where you make sense of what’s going on, feel supported, and begin to make meaningful changes at your own pace. We'll work together to set goals for treatment that align with how you see your future. My approach is both insight-oriented and practical. I draw from interpersonal, acceptance-based, and skills-focused therapies (including interpersonal behavior therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy) to help clients better understand their internal experiences while also building tools for navigating relationships more effectively. We might explore patterns that show up in your relationships, practice new ways of communicating, or work on staying grounded through difficult emotions rather than getting pulled away by them.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

At the beginning of therapy, my goal is to help you feel comfortable in the therapeutic space and share what your hopes are for treatment. I know it takes time to build trust, and I don't anticipate that you'll feel comfortable sharing everything with me during the first session. You get to set the pace and depth of the work you want in therapy. Over time, my role is to walk with you in the space you're at, while providing support and skills to help you get to where you want to be.
