Getting to know Samantha Skirka
Hello, everyone! Welcome!
My name is Samantha, and I have been a clinician for the past twelve years or so. I love helping my clients reach their full potential and achieve their goals, and I find being a clinician to be incredibly special and rewarding. I have experience working with clients of all ages in settings such as K-12 schools, juvenile justice, and long-term care/geriatrics.
I earned my Master's in Social Work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, which has greatly shaped my approach to client care.
I am also a mom, and it is the BEST job in the world-yet also the most challenging! What a rollercoaster ride, huh? In my free time, I enjoy listening to audiobooks, de-cluttering (it's therapeutic for me!), and spending time with my family. Fun fact-I also have a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and took two years of Japanese language classes in high school!
What should a new client know about working with you?
Clients can expect to take away increased awareness, small attainable goals to work on, a sense of peace knowing that I’ve got their back, and skills that they can utilize to help them manage their feelings, stress, symptoms, etc.

More information on payments and coverage
Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
