She also has experience working with perpetrators of domestic violence and adults transitioning to independent living from residential facilities. Originally from the Southeast, Samekquel grew up in Midwestern Minneapolis and cherishes spending time with family and friends. Many childhood summers were spent with her grandparents, where she developed a love for oceanic beaches and sweet tea. Today, she continues to enjoy family, music, travel, and exploring new foods.
