Getting to know Samia Qadri

When scheduling, appointments may be with either clinician based on availability and fit. My first priority is creating a space where clients feel safe and supported, so we can build the trust needed for meaningful progress. I’m down-to-earth in my approach, while remaining deeply committed to providing evidence-based care. I am Samia Qadri, LPC, and I work alongside Tara Pruden, LPC, CCTP. Together, we support clients seeking treatment for anxiety, trauma, and related concerns, with particular attention to how these challenges affect daily life, relationships, and overall functioning. Tara is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional with over 15 years of experience specializing in PTSD, childhood trauma, and intergenerational trauma. Her work integrates trauma-focused CBT & evidence-based somatic approaches. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety disorders, OCD, and trauma, using structured, research-supported approaches to help clients better understand patterns and develop tools that support lasting change. I frequently work with individuals navigating anxiety, perfectionism, and stress-related challenges, including professionals in high-stress fields such as graduate and medical students, residents, and physicians.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When scheduling, appointments may be with either clinician based on availability and fit. I’m warm, validating, and practical. I care about helping you make progress in your daily life. That means I’ll share research-backed strategies, give you honest feedback, and make sure we’re working together towards your goals. I see therapy as a team effort. You bring your lived experience, and I bring tools and perspective to help you gain insight. Along the way, I’ll check in to be sure our work is useful, relevant, and moving you in the right direction.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When scheduling, appointments may be with either clinician based on availability and fit. Research shows that one of the strongest predictors of whether therapy will be effective is the strength of the relationship between client and therapist. In our first session, I focus on building that connection by learning what you’re coming in with. I ask about your prior experiences in therapy, your hopes for this process, and the relationships that have shaped your life in the present. We also discuss the challenges you want to address and the goals you’d like to work toward. From there, I create a plan that’s tailored to you and is grounded in evidence-based approaches.

Samia is easy to talk to. I felt comfortable opening up to her which has never been easy for me. she is completely nonjudgmental and understanding. she is also a very practical and honest therapist. i would highly recommend Samia (also especially for anyone that has been nervous to start therapy like i was)
Samia is an incredible therapist!!!!! This is the first time I’ve had a therapist who truly helped me find relief. From the beginning, it was clear she genuinely wanted to help me with the things i struggled with. I’ve seen therapists before who listened, which was nice, but seeing Samia really helped me make the changes i needed to live a happier life.
Samia is very attentive to patient needs and tailors therapy sessions to match patient goals. Her demeanor is calm and soothing and she is easy to talk to. She is skilled in multiple types of therapy and she is accommodating and flexible. I would highly recommend Samia for those seeking a mental health professional.
Samia is a very knowledgeable and experienced therapist who promotes both physical and mental well being in her sessions. Samia is also focused on dealing with trauma through EMDR which I have found helpful.
Samia is the absolute best out there!! I don’t think I’ve ever met someone so emotionally intelligent and in tune with others are feeling. She picks up on minute details that I never even thought of. She has given me actionable strategies to improve my outlook on work and life I highly recommend her!!!
I went into today's session feeling heavy, fiery and full of anger but I left calm, content and ready to take on the day. I have been seeing Samia for the past year and have noticed a profound change in myself. She takes the best care of her clients and always strives for their well being. She is extremely kind and professional and I plan to have her as my therapist for as long as I can! I drop her name to anyone that is looking for an honest therapist that actually wants to see her patients do and feel better.
Samia has consistently provided wonderful treatment and fostered a safe and comfortable environment! She is both incredibly intelligent and adept at meeting her client’s needs. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone looking to start therapy.
Even after a few visits Samia made me feel incredibly understood and has already provided a number of resources that have vastly improved my life. I have learned so much from her already and I am so grateful to have her as my therapist!
