Hi there, I'm Samm! Hi all, my name is Samm Panos. I enjoy hearing people's stories and working with them to use their strengths to make their lives better. My approach I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational, strengths-based, short-term, family systems, and Rotarian approaches. My focus I have worked with cancer patients, Alzheimer's, anxiety, and dryness. I have worked with substance abuse, domestic violence, and adolescents. I have worked with postpartum, epilepsy, grief, work-related stress, and divorce. I have worked with LGBTQIA and transgender clients. I have also done work with the inner child. My communication style I like to hear what the client's strengths are and build on those to help them look at possible solutions. I want the client to feel supported and have a relaxed therapeutic relationship. My journey to mental healthcare My father took us to Mexico and supplied families with food, shelter, and clothing, started a medical clinic, and provided an ambulance. He was a natural social worker, and I caught the bug. My education I earned my Master's in Public Health from Benedictine University. My goals for you I ask the client how I can help and how they will know when they no longer need counseling. What will be in their life, and what will they be doing? My first session with you I let clients tell me about themselves, what brought them to counseling, and how I can help.
