She obtained her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies as well as her master’s in social work from Texas State University. She completed internships with intensive outpatient group therapy providing CBT, DBT, and psycho-education, as well as working with adults with autism in work settings to help them develop self-advocacy skills. In addition to providing evidence based therapy modalities, I can also assist with understanding or advocating for families with children in Special Education with ARD and IEP paperwork. **At this time I am unable to accept insurance or provide medication management**

What should a new client know about working with you?

I believe in creating a warm, nurturing environment that helps the client feel they are in safe space and allows for the therapeutic relationship to grow. I also believe that everyone has resiliency and strength built in and with my help be able to tap into that and access it in times of need.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

A typical session might include a check in see where the client is at since the last visit and/or what brought them in. Through this check in main topics will be discussed along with techniques such as emotional regulation, grounding, etc. to help with day to day interactions between visits. I am also able to provide guidance and advocacy for parents with children in Special Education with understanding ARD and IEP paperwork.
