What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel intimidating, but you don't have to have everything figured out before we begin. My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, sharing your experiences, and exploring the challenges that brought you to therapy. Our work together will be tailored to your needs and goals. We may explore patterns in your thoughts, emotions, relationships, and past experiences while developing practical tools to manage stress, improve communication, build confidence, and create meaningful change. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and attachment-based therapy. Therapy is a process, and meaningful progress takes time, curiosity, and collaboration. You can expect a supportive space where your experiences are respected and your goals help guide our work. Whether you're seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, or a major life transition, we'll work together to help you feel more grounded, connected, and empowered. You don't have to navigate life's challenges alone. Taking the first step toward therapy is an investment in yourself and your well-being.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My process begins with understanding you as a whole person, including your experiences, strengths, concerns, and goals for therapy. During our first sessions, we'll explore what's bringing you to therapy, identify the challenges you'd like to address, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your needs. As we continue, we'll work together to understand patterns in your thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and relationships that may be contributing to your struggles. Depending on your goals, we may focus on managing anxiety and depression, healing from past trauma, improving communication, strengthening emotional regulation, rebuilding trust, or navigating life transitions. I draw from evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, EMDR, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and attachment-based therapy. I tailor our work to your individual needs and pace, combining deeper exploration with practical strategies you can use in everyday life. Throughout the process, we'll regularly review your progress and adjust our approach as needed. My goal is to provide a compassionate, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where you feel heard, develop greater self-understanding, and build the skills needed to create lasting, meaningful change.
