Getting to know Sandra Turner

Hello and welcome! I'm a passionate therapist with a deep commitment to helping individuals overcome life's most challenging moments. My approach is grounded in the belief that mental health is just as important as physical health, and everyone deserves the opportunity to heal, grow, and thrive. Having faced my own personal challenges, including the loss of close family members, I understand firsthand the importance of seeking support during tough times. I hold a Master's in Social Work from Walden University and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Memphis, which have equipped me with the knowledge and skills to provide effective care. I am here to offer a compassionate, non-judgmental space where you can begin your journey toward emotional well-being. Whether you're struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or life transitions, I’m here to guide and empower you every step of the way.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you choose to work with me, you can expect an open, honest, and transparent approach to therapy. I believe in building strong, trusting relationships with my clients so that you feel safe and supported throughout the process. At times, therapy may feel challenging as we work through difficult emotions or confront issues you might have avoided. However, my goal is always to help you grow and feel empowered to take control of your mental health. I will always be fair, transparent, and compassionate in our work together, and you'll never feel judged or alone in the process.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our journey together will begin with getting to know one another. I will take time to learn about your experiences, goals, and what brings you to therapy. During our initial sessions, I will explain the process and what you can expect as we move forward. I believe in creating a collaborative and empowering relationship with my clients. As trust builds, we will dive deeper into your experiences and begin utilizing therapeutic approaches tailored to your unique needs—whether it be Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused CBT, or other evidence-based practices. Over time, you'll learn to manage stress, gain insight, and develop strategies for coping with life's challenges. Together, we’ll work towards your personal growth, with the goal of improving your mental health and helping you navigate life’s ups and downs with greater resilience.

She is very nice but also real enough to get you together which I think is a winning combo.
Sandra is very professional and helpful. I have never been to therapy before this and she is very supportive of me but is also straight forward with me. I look forward to our therapy sessions.
She seemed knowledgeable but I was extremely distracted by the video quality, background noise, lighting etc. not professional at all. It made me not want to continue sessions, even though I did like her.
Felt very heard with Sandra’s bedside manner!
I tried giving Ms. Sandra Turner a chance, but am unhappy with the lack of support provided. The discussion during the sessions come from a generated list of questions and not genuine. She has also promised helpful forms twice and none have been provided. You can tell when a person is paying attention and she definitely was not.
