What should a new client know about working with you?

One of the most important aspects of therapy is feeling safe, seen, and understood. My goal is to help you reconnect with your strengths, remind you of your worth, and support you in finding hope even in difficult moments. Whether you're navigating a tough life transition, struggling with self-doubt, or simply needing a space to process your emotions, I am here to walk alongside you. Outside of my practice, life is wonderfully full with two very young children who keep me active and remind me to embrace the little joys in life. I love spending time with my family, reading, crafting, and being outdoors whenever I can. I try to bring the same philosophy to my personal life that I encourage in my clients—finding balance, practicing self-care, and making space for moments of joy and connection each day.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My approach is client-centered and strengths-based, meaning I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide guidance, tools, and a safe space to explore your emotions, challenges, and goals. I take the time to truly listen, ensuring that our work together is collaborative and tailored to your specific needs. I integrate a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques—including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT)—to create a personalized plan that aligns with your values and fosters meaningful progress. Above all, my practice is trauma-informed, recognizing how past experiences can shape present struggles and healing.
