“Sara was gave me a new framework for me to view myself. Her experience working in a health care setting allowed us to share a common language. For folks who are navigating the death of a family member or close friend, or who work in the medical field, Sara has insights and a wealth of knowledge that will guide you. She provided "homework" that was relevant and useful to me. She is warm, supportive and most importantly, helpful! ”

Getting to know Sara Wright

Asking for help is so tough, isn't it? I am here to guide you through life's ups and downs and help you get unstuck and feeling better. I will assist you in finding actionable solutions to the issues you struggle with. Together, we will untangle life's complexities and find a path to increased happiness and balance.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work with clients who are struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship problems and substance use. During our initial session, together we will reflect on the issues you're experiencing and create a plan to address them in a way that empowers you to move forward in life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In your first session, we'll explore what concerns brought you to therapy and what you're hoping to achieve, and together come up with a plan to help you succeed. I use evidence-based treatment modalities to help my clients, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness modalities. I am also extensively trained in treating Prolonged Grief Disorder. During sessions, you'll gain a deeper self-awareness and work through your concerns. Together we will monitor your progress through evidence-based screening tools to ensure that our sessions are effective and make adjustments as needed.

Sara is empathetic and she listens to me. And, she heard what I told her. I felt safe to share with her. I highly recommend Sara. I will continue my sessions with her.
I worked with Sara for Greif therapy. When we first started, I was in a bad way after the loss of my wife and over a number of weeks working with her, sometimes twice per week, I've progressed enough that I'm starting to feel back to myself. She's been easy to talk to and provided great guidance. It was a smart decision to work with her otherwise not sure where I'd be emotionally.
Sara’s appointments are virtual so there is no wait at appointment time and it’s very convenient for this busy gal. Sara has excellent listening skills and her therapeutic approach is thought provoking, kind and honest. I feel safe and “seen” during my appointments with her. She is helping me cope with anxiety and finding my self worth as well as create necessary boundaries that I have not been able to create. I highly recommend her counseling services if you are willing to also put the l work in to healing yourself!
