Hi, I’m Sarah Barletta, a Licensed Professional Counselor with over 10 years of experience supporting individuals and families through life’s most difficult challenges. I provide counseling in Bannockburn, Des Plaines, and the North Shore area of Illinois, offering both in-person and online sessions.
As a trauma therapist in Bannockburn, I specialize in helping people heal from sexual assault, domestic violence, trauma, grief/loss, anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges. My goal is to create a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes in your life.

What should a new client know about working with you?
Over the past decade, I’ve worked in schools, counseling centers, and community organizations, providing care to teens and adults. I’ve supported students in underserved communities, guided families through complex challenges, and stood alongside survivors of interpersonal violence as they began to reclaim their lives.
These experiences have shaped my belief that healing looks different for everyone. My role is to provide compassion, guidance, and tools that meet you where you are, so you can move forward at your own pace.
