Getting to know Sarah Bieber

Hi, my name is Sarah (preferred pronouns she/her). I am an LLMHC working under the supervision of Salihah Hughson, LMHC. I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Medaille University Buffalo Campus and have experience working with adults 18+ addressing a variety of concerns including mental health, substance use, and forensic counseling. I enjoy taking the time to get to know my clients and figuring out what type of approach suits them best. My sessions are a 100% transparent, 0% judgment zone, and I am open to working on any short- or long-term goals you would like to address. I believe in the value of building a strong relationship and often use my sense of humor and down-to-earth approach to help my clients feel comfortable and safe. I have worked with clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, substance use, and more. I enjoy working on emotion regulation skills, assertiveness training, building self-esteem, and managing interpersonal conflicts. My work is also trauma-focused, and I have experience working with multicultural clients and the LGBTQ+ community. I use a variety of approaches, primarily a combination of dialectical behavioral therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and attachment therapy, depending on the client's needs. I look forward to meeting you and seeing all the progress we can make!
