Sarah Collett, LCSW

Psychotherapist
CA
Hi there, I'm Sarah! My name is Sarah Collett, and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Rancho Cucamonga, CA, working with clients statewide via telehealth. I earned my Master's in Social Work from California State University, San Bernardino. I work with adolescents and adults, specializing in anxiety, stress, PTSD, and trauma, using principles from mindfulness, EMDR, and dialectical behavioral therapy. My approach My approach to therapy is client-centered and strengths-based. I most frequently use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and EMDR to assist clients in making healthy changes to the way they think and feel. EMDR therapy enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress resulting from disturbing life experiences. My focus I have found that my style and approach are a good fit for teens and adults dealing with the challenges of life transitions and social pressures. This often takes the form of anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and PTSD. I work to help my clients navigate these transition periods and build skills that allow them to feel better about themselves and develop a more positive outlook on life. My communication style My communication style is calm, accommodating, and genuine. I want my clients to feel comfortable talking with me about anything, and I pride myself on my ability to listen without judgment. My journey to mental healthcare I decided to become a therapist because I have always wanted to help people. I enjoy getting to know how others view the world and connecting with them on a deeper level. Whether volunteering in high school at the local hospital or being a trusted and loyal friend, I have always naturally been drawn to helping people through difficult times. I enjoy seeing individuals meet their fullest potential.
