Psychotherapist

Therapy with me is a collaborative, thoughtful process where we slow down and make sense of your inner world—especially how past invalidating relationships and life transitions have shaped your sense of self. Sessions are reflective and relational, offering a space where your experiences are taken seriously and met with curiosity rather than judgment. We focus on understanding patterns beneath the surface, not just managing symptoms, so that change feels meaningful and lasting. At the same time, our work together will be practical and supportive. I integrate evidence-based tools from CBT, DBT, ACT, IFS, mindfulness, and relationship-focused work (Gottman method and EFT) to help you navigate emotions, set boundaries, strengthen relationships, and reconnect with your authentic self. Many clients experience therapy as both clarifying and steadying—a place to feel understood while developing skills to move forward with greater confidence and self-trust.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in working with motivated adults who have experienced invalidating relationships. These may have been in childhood, with family or close others, or they may be friendships or romantic relationships in adulthood. These types of relationships can have a profound impact on how we feel about ourselves and therefore how we interact with the world around us. I also feel called to work with individuals who are struggling with identity, whether due to a life change, transition or life circumstances. If you’re asking yourself “who am I? what is my true self?”, you may be in the right place! Mostly, I work with the impact — whatever got you here, if you’re feeling stuck, lost, misunderstood, and want to dig into the roots of your suffering to truly understand yourself, we may be a good fit.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I largely work from the framework of depth psychology. The word “depth” serves as a metaphor for the parts of ourselves that lie beneath the surface—those aspects not immediately visible or measurable, yet profoundly real. Picture an iceberg: only a small section rises above the water, while the vast majority remains unseen below. In a similar way, much of the human psyche—our motivations, dreams, memories, and the inner patterns that shape us—exists outside of conscious awareness. Depth psychology explores this hidden landscape. It encourages us to wonder: What is happening beneath our everyday reactions and emotions? Which unconscious patterns are guiding our lives? And how might we begin to listen to them, rather than overlook them? In addition to my orientation to psychoanalytical depth work, I am trained in the following theories or techniques, and I sprinkle these ideas into our work as needed! -DBT (dialectical behavioral therapy), CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) -Trauma certified and informed -Motivational Interviewing -Gottman (relationship theory) and EFT (emotion focused therapy) -Mindfulness based therapy -IFS (“parts work”) - Ketamine assisted therapy (KAP)
