Hi there, I'm Sarah! I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Walden University. I am passionate about supporting clients in healing from trauma and life stressors by providing a warm and supportive therapeutic experience. I have experience treating a variety of diagnoses, with special consideration for depression, anxiety, ADHD, and trauma-related symptoms. I enjoy working with adolescents, adults, and parents. My approach is client-centered, meaning that I strive to provide unconditional positive regard, empathy, and openness to whatever you as the client might bring to therapy. I also heavily incorporate attachment theory into my work, focusing on attachment styles and how these influence us throughout our lifespan. Additionally, I incorporate aspects of CBT, DBT, and somatic techniques to assist individuals in learning various skills to improve their ability to cope with life stressors. I provide a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach to help clients feel safe exploring and processing trauma in order to experience growth and healing. I have experience working with adolescents, young and middle-age adults, as well as parents. I also have significant experience treating trauma, ADHD, depression, and anxiety in each of these groups, along with supporting parents related to various parenting strategies. My goal is to ensure that you feel seen and heard in therapy and leave sessions with tools to help cope with and manage symptoms. I enjoy using a collaborative approach to make sure individuals get the most out of our time together, including asking for feedback about how they feel therapy is going. I've been told I have a good sense of humor, which I use to help individuals feel comfortable and build connections.
