Sarah Gomaa, LMHC

Psychotherapist
FL
I believe therapy is most impactful when it creates space for deeper understanding, meaningful connection, and lasting change. I specialize in working with individuals and couples who find themselves repeating the same patterns in relationships, feeling disconnected from themselves or their emotions, navigating identity and cultural experiences, or struggling to understand how past experiences continue to shape their present. Many of the individuals I work with carry deep emotional wounds, have experienced trauma, or grew up in environments where emotional needs were not consistently met. They often find themselves feeling stuck, disconnected, or caught in patterns that no longer serve them. I also specialize in working with couples navigating high conflict, communication challenges, breaches of trust, life transitions, and longstanding relational wounds. Whether you are seeking to strengthen your relationship, rebuild connection, or better understand the dynamics within your partnership, therapy can provide a space to explore these experiences with greater insight and intention. My work centers on helping clients better understand themselves, their relationships, and the patterns that continue to show up in their lives so they can move toward greater authenticity and connection.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is collaborative, conversational, and tailored to each individual's or couple's unique needs. While sessions provide support and validation, clients can also expect to be gently challenged as we explore deeper patterns, increase self-awareness, and work toward change. Depending on your goals, therapy may include reflection exercises, homework between sessions, and practical tools to help reinforce the work outside of therapy. My hope is that clients leave sessions with greater insight, a deeper understanding of themselves and their relationships, and tangible ways to continue that growth between appointments.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all process, and sessions may look different across sessions because life happens. While we will establish goals and work intentionally toward meaningful change, I believe the therapeutic relationship is one of the most important parts of the process. Our work together begins with understanding you, your story, and what brings you to therapy. As trust and connection develop, sessions are tailored to your unique needs and goals, allowing space for exploration, insight, and lasting growth.
