What should a new client know about working with you?

You don’t need to have everything figured out to start therapy. Many clients begin feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure how to handle what’s in front of them. My role is to help you break things down, understand what’s contributing to how you feel, and begin approaching things in a different, more effective way.I work collaboratively and without judgment, tailoring sessions to your needs and pace. Therapy often includes practical strategies and skill-building, along with space to talk through what you’re experiencing. The goal is to help you feel more confident, capable, and better equipped to handle challenges as they come up. Together, we’ll work toward helping you feel more grounded and steadier in your day-to-day life.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first sessions, we’ll focus on understanding what’s bringing you in and what you’d like to get out of therapy. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out - we can work through that together. We’ll start identifying key areas to focus on and begin outlining a plan that feels clear and manageable. As therapy continues, sessions combine conversation with practical strategies and skill-building. I draw from CBT, DBT, and related approaches to help you better understand your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors while developing tools you can use in real time. Over time, the focus is on helping you build skills, gain confidence, and make changes that carry into your daily life.
