Hello, I'm Sarah, and I'm here to support both adults and children/adolescents as they navigate the big emotions that life brings. With an extensive background in serving clients with complex trauma, I am passionate about working with both internalized and externalized 'tough' antisocial behaviors, including acting out, aggression, and defiance. I believe in a collaborative approach, finding creative and non-traditional interventions to meet your unique needs with an open-minded and patient approach. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). My therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from a strengths perspective, and I can incorporate Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) when it is helpful. I also speak functional Spanish, which allows me to connect with a broader range of clients. I specialize in trauma, adolescent and teen mental/behavioral health, antisocial behavior, anxiety, borderline personality disorder, children's mental/behavioral health, depression, dissociative disorders, multicultural/diversity issues, PTSD, suicidal ideation and self-harming, anger management, ADHD, bipolar disorder, and stress. I also offer SonderMind Video Telehealth for those who prefer remote sessions. Working with me means engaging in a supportive and understanding environment where we can explore your challenges and strengths together. I particularly enjoy working with justice-involved youth and adults, helping them find their path to healing and growth. When I'm not working, I enjoy finding new ways to connect with my community and staying active.
