Getting to know Sarah Knowlton

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with specialized training in sexual compulsivity and issues of sexual health and integrity and I am competent working with both individuals and couples. I have worked extensively in addiction treatment, but am by no means limited to working with people struggling with addiction and the people who love them. I hold a Master's in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University Los Angeles. I use the Trauma Resiliency Model with clients healing from trauma, as well as clients needing help with self-regulation. I have received training with The American Association of Sex Therapists, Educators, and Counselors (AASECT), as well as from The American Association of Couples and Sex Therapists at UCLA. I worked at The Sexual Recovery Institute (SRI) from August 2012 to July 2015, where I completed Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) training. Prior to working at SRI, I worked in drug and alcohol addiction treatment and community mental health. I have been in private practice since 2015.
