Sarah Rodriguez, LPC

Psychotherapist
TX
I have been in the business of the healing arts for almost 20 years - providing services from case management to individual counseling. I obtained my Bachelor's in Psychology from Texas Tech University in 2000 and my Master's in Community Counseling from Webster University in 2010. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and in good standing with the State of Texas. My approach: I am flexible in my approaches to individuals and offer simple, solution-focused approaches to complex psychodynamic approaches, focusing on deeper-rooted personal issues. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the gold standard, and I believe being client-centered is the best approach and offers flexibility. My focus: I have experience working with a wide range of ages, socioeconomics, and cultures, which I believe gives me a well-rounded approach to anyone in need, including individuals, families, and couples. I have specialized in trauma and sexual abuse in both genders, including domestic violence issues. Depression and anxiety can be debilitating. By offering specialized treatment modalities, one can conquer and move towards a healthy future. Having many life experiences, I confirm that everyone has their own story and their own truths. My communication style: I want to make sure that each individual will feel welcome and comfortable from the start. I am straightforward and will challenge you in a healthy way to bring positive change to your life. You will feel heard and validated when meeting with me. My journey to mental healthcare: I started off on the track to be an educator and felt a change in the world of psychology. Once I graduated from Texas Tech University, I began working with severely mentally ill patients as a Case Manager. I felt my life's calling was being fulfilled as I continued my education with Webster University, obtained my master's Degree in Counseling, and completed my internship to become a fully Licensed Professional Counselor with the State of Texas.
