Getting to know Sarah Sweda

Well, first of all, if no one has told you yet today, you're here and you're doing a great job. Hi, my name is Sarah, and I get it-at any given moment, life can be complicated, frustrating, hilarious, heartbreaking, chaotic, or beautiful. Maybe you're feeling all of it at once. Through the beauty, chaos, joy, or pain, I think it's important to remember that you don't have to walk this ever-changing road alone. I earned my Master's in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of Scranton. As a licensed practical counselor (LPC) and nationally certified counselor (NCC) practicing in Pennsylvania, I aim to help kids, teens, and young adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, panic, school stressors, peer relationships, and grief and loss. I also utilize components of art, mindfulness, and positive self-talk to help build and strengthen the relationship you have with yourself and others. At the end of the day, I believe that you are the expert in your story. With that, I'm happy to be there and help you navigate all of life's ups and downs, peaks and valleys, setbacks and triumphs right along with you. Now take a breath, sit back, and let's have a chat!

What should a new client know about working with you?

Let’s be honest, therapy / getting a therapist can be scary. I want to make sure that this therapeutic relationship is a good fit for you! Our first session will reflect just that and will be a time to get to know one another; to understand your goals and hopes for therapy; and to answer any questions you might have! (Let’s laugh and have some fun along the way, too!)

More information on payments and coverage

Payment is due after each session and will be charged with your card on file for any portion of patient responsibility. Receipts will be provided at the time of the charge. This typically takes place 2-4 weeks after the session, once your insurance has had a chance to process the claim. We try our best to verify eligibility, but it is ultimately your responsibility to check coverage and out-of-pocket costs for services. For out-of-network visits, you will be billed at the provider’s self-pay rate, and we can provide an invoice for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement based on your plan’s benefits.
