Hello, I'm Sarah. Do your relationships cause you to feel anxious or depressed? Do you want to quit or cut back your substance use but find it difficult? Is your anxiety getting in the way of your goals and living? I provide a warm, safe environment in which you can share and process relationships or things that may be causing you distress. Asking for help and starting the process of change and growth is hard, but you do not have to do it alone. It takes time, and we will go at your pace, making sure that your needs are being met. You are an expert in you! I approach therapy from an eclectic, trauma-informed perspective. I work in mental health because this is an area that I am passionate about, and I believe we have got to change the stigma around asking for help. I enjoy working with clients struggling with substance abuse disorders, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal relationships. My therapeutic approach is grounded in several cognitive behavioral therapies (CBT for depression, CBT for anxiety, and CBT for substance abuse disorders), Interpersonal Therapy for Depression, and Cognitive Processing Therapy for trauma. I also incorporate Dialectical Behavior Therapy, mindfulness, and other emotional regulation skills to tailor the therapy to your unique needs. I hold a Master of Social Work (MSW) and am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Additionally, I have completed the SonderMind Baseline Veteran Education Program, which equips me to support military and veteran clients effectively. My specializations include addiction, anger management, anxiety, bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder, depression, family relationships, gender identity, grief/bereavement, intimate/romantic relationships, life transitions, military/veteran support, narcissistic personality disorder, PTSD, stress, trauma, LGBTQIA+ support, and OCD. Working with me means embarking on a journey where your voice and experiences are valued. Together, we will explore the challenges you face and develop strategies to overcome them. My goal is to empower you to lead a fulfilling life, free from the burdens that hold you back. If you're ready to take the first step towards healing and growth, I'm here to support you every step of the way.
