Sarah Wittmann, LPC

Psychotherapist
WI
Hello! I'm Sarah, a Licensed Professional Counselor in Wisconsin with over 19 years of experience. My educational background includes a Master's Degree in Community Counseling from Mount Mary University. I currently enjoy working with adults (18-64) through individual, virtual therapy. I'm trained in behavioral therapies (CBT, DBT) but use an integrative and trauma-informed approach with clients primarily experiencing depression and anxiety. My other areas of focus include ADHD, general stress management, parenting, adjusting to life transitions, women's mental health, and adoption. I'm down to earth, compassionate, and looking forward to getting started with you. The first part of my career was spent working with young children and their families in their homes. This experience taught me patience, flexibility, cultural humility, and empathy. It gave me a deep understanding of family dynamics. During my time working with this population, I also obtained a postgraduate certificate in infant, early childhood, and family mental health in 2011. My experiences in my early career helped me greatly when I made the shift to working with individual adults by helping me to see how our foundations impact us throughout our lives. I'm genuine and try to be as transparent as I can. I'm honest with clients but also understand change is really hard to make sometimes. If it was easy, no one would need therapy! I tend to be more goal focused, so with that I give clients practical skills they can do to help them reach their goals.
