Psychotherapist
TX
Hello, I'm Sarah. I offer a safe, calm, and respectful environment where you can tell your story and be truly heard. Together, we can set meaningful goals for your treatment and work towards healing both your mind and body. I graduated from Amberton University with a Master's in Professional Counseling, and I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LPC). My journey in mental health began during my practicum training at Hope's Door New Beginning Center, where I provided individual and group counseling for clients dealing with domestic violence trauma. I also interned at the Lone Survivor Foundation, where I supported veterans with PTSD, chronic pain, and TBI through intake services. My experience extends to various counseling practices, addressing issues such as childhood and adult-onset trauma, PTSD, domestic abuse, family abuse, grief, anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, toxic work environments, relationship challenges, and women's issues. My therapeutic approach is trauma-focused and includes person-centered therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, solution-focused therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy. I have extensive experience working with veterans, domestic violence survivors, and other trauma-affected clients. Additionally, I offer grief counseling for the loss of a loved one, including beloved pets. I believe in a collaborative and supportive approach to therapy. You are not alone in your journey to heal your mind and body. Together, we can create a customized therapy plan that suits your unique needs. I am available on weekdays and some evenings by appointment. If you feel ready to start counseling, please reach out and schedule an appointment. There is no time like the present to begin focusing on your healing journey.
