What should a new client know about working with you?

With a focus particularly on adults aged 55 and older, I understand the unique challenges they may encounter during life transitions, such as retirement, unexpected illness, or caretaking. There can be a myriad of emotional hurdles to overcome, from grief and loneliness to the search for purpose and meaning. With my support, we can work on strategies to enhance your emotional well-being, restore balance, and create a fulfilling late-life chapter. As your therapist, I'm committed to fostering a safe and nurturing environment where you can openly express your thoughts and feelings, regain control over your life, build resilience, and find a sense of purpose.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Patients should expect initial assessment to last about 1.5 hours, with subsequent sessions lasting about 60 minutes. At initial session, Pts will identify initial goals for treatment and collaborate with me on goals he/she/they would like to pursue in treatment. Treatment modalities will be determined by the specific needs of the patient. Patients can expect to learn more about identifying thoughts and emotions, accepting and tolerating difficult emotions, strategies for relaxation, improved sleep and wellness, communication skills, and problem solving techniques.
