What should a new client know about working with you?

As a holistic therapist, my primary goal is to support your health through the integration of your mind, body and spirit. I utilize an integrative approach in therapy which means I may provide you with education about how anxiety impacts the body and mind, teach you breathing exercises, help you unpack buried emotions, or delve into your family background. Furthermore, I value providing quality care with cultural humility. I am committed to creating a safe space where your cultural background is respected and celebrated.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Before our first appointment, I will send you some intake paperwork for you to complete. In the initial visit, I conduct a comprehensive assessment that takes into account your psychological well-being, family history, physical health, lifestyle, social support and spiritual beliefs. We will discuss your reasons for therapy and what you hope to achieve in working together. At the beginning of treatment, I recommend that clients commit to a weekly basis. A typical therapy session is about 50 minutes long, and generally held on the same day and time each week. Over time as progress is made, we decrease our meetings to biweekly or less.
