Getting to know Sasha Sioni

Hi, I'm Dr. Sasha Sioni, DBH, LMHC. I do telehealth psychotherapy across Florida (I'm in Orlando) for individual adults and couples dealing with anxiety, depression, ADHD and executive functioning, problematic gaming, or the relational patterns that keep repeating no matter what you've tried. My approach blends CBT and psychodynamic work; couples sessions add EFT-informed and Gottman-informed tools. Adult clinical evaluations (ADHD, bariatric pre-surgical, disability/workplace) are also available.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I work integratively across two main modalities. CBT gives us concrete tools for thought patterns, anxiety, panic, and habit change — skills you can use between sessions. Psychodynamic work goes underneath that to understand why a pattern keeps repeating, even when you already know better. We weight them based on what you actually need. With couples, I draw on EFT-informed strategies along with behavioral/integrative principles and Gottman-informed tools. One thing I'm direct about: if I'm not the right clinician for what you're dealing with, I'll tell you at intake and try to point you somewhere better.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

The first session is about what brought you here and what would make therapy worth your time and money. From there we set goals together and pick a cadence — usually weekly or every other week. We also identify two or three concrete things to work on between sessions. Every few months I check in with you about what's actually shifting (or not), and we adjust. With couples, the early sessions focus on the cycle you're stuck in together; that's the work, not figuring out who's right.
